4. No Medical, Legal, or Genetic Counseling Advice

You should consult a qualified attorney, healthcare provider, court official, immigration professional, or other appropriate professional for advice regarding legal, medical, immigration, or court-related matters.
5. Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and truthful information when requesting services. Incorrect names, contact information, dates, participant details, identification information, addresses, appointment information, or payment details may delay or prevent completion of services.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the legal authority, consent, or permission required to request DNA testing for yourself, a minor child, or another participant.
6. DNA Testing Types
DNA testing options may include legal and non-legal testing. Legal DNA testing generally requires identity verification, approved sample collection, chain-of-custody documentation, and laboratory processing. Peace-of-mind or at-home testing may not be valid for court, immigration, child support, custody, government, or official legal purposes.
It is your responsibility to choose the correct test type for your intended purpose. If you need results for court, immigration, child support, birth certificate changes, custody, or another official matter, you should request a legal chain-of-custody test.
7. Appointments and Scheduling
Appointments may be required for sample collection, mobile collection, legal testing, or other services. Appointment availability is not guaranteed until confirmed by Pro DNA Lab or an authorized representative.
Customers should arrive on time and bring any required identification, paperwork, payment confirmation, or documentation requested before the appointment.
8. Mobile Collection Services
Mobile collection services may be available in certain areas. Availability, pricing, travel fees, scheduling times, and eligibility may vary by location. Mobile collection appointments may require advance payment or deposit.
Pro DNA Lab reserves the right to decline, reschedule, or cancel a mobile collection appointment due to safety concerns, incomplete information, nonpayment, weather, distance, staff availability, or operational reasons.
9. Identification Requirements
Legal DNA testing may require valid government-issued photo identification, birth certificates for minors, guardian documentation, court documents, or other proof of identity or authority. Failure to provide required documentation may result in appointment delay, cancellation, or inability to complete the requested service.
10. Sample Collection and Laboratory Processing
Samples may be collected by cheek swab or another approved method depending on the test type. Samples may be sent to a third-party laboratory for processing. Laboratory processing times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
Delays may occur due to shipping, incomplete paperwork, sample quality, additional testing requirements, holidays, laboratory workload, weather, carrier delays, or circumstances outside our control.
11. Results
Results are issued according to the laboratory’s procedures and the test type ordered. Pro DNA Lab does not alter, guarantee, manipulate, or control laboratory results.
Customers are responsible for reviewing all names, participant details, and requested services before collection and processing. Corrections after processing may require additional time, fees, or documentation.
12. Payments, Deposits, and Fees
Certain services may require a deposit or full payment before scheduling, collection, shipping, or processing. Prices may vary based on test type, number of participants, collection method, shipping, location, urgency, and laboratory requirements.
By submitting payment, you authorize Pro DNA Lab or its payment processor to charge the amount shown or agreed upon for the requested service.
13. Refunds and Cancellations
Deposits, appointment fees, administrative fees, mobile collection fees, shipping fees, and laboratory fees may be non-refundable once scheduling, processing, kit preparation, shipping, administrative work, or laboratory work has begun.
Refund eligibility depends on the service requested, work already performed, costs incurred, and timing of the cancellation request. Pro DNA Lab reserves the right to determine refund eligibility on a case-by-case basis.
14. Rescheduling and Missed Appointments
Customers should notify Pro DNA Lab as soon as possible if they need to reschedule. Missed appointments, late arrivals, incomplete documentation, or failure to appear may result in rescheduling fees or loss of deposit.
15. Shipping and Delivery
If a test kit, collection kit, paperwork, or sample shipment is required, shipping times are estimates and not guaranteed. Pro DNA Lab is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, incorrect addresses, weather, holidays, lost packages, refused deliveries, or carrier service interruptions.
